Team Websites – Sending Messages to Coaches Only

This one has been asked for a few times and while you could send a coach/staff only message in league and organization websites, you couldn’t do it for team websites until now.

When sending a message, check the Send message only to coaches? checkbox and it will be limited to just staff members.

Viewing all Games and Events for a Location

Team, league, and organization websites now include a schedule page for each location.  When clicking on the location name from your schedule, you will be taken to the map for the location (if there is a map) with the option to view the location schedule.

schedule_location_link

If the location doesn’t have a map, you will be taken right to the schedule.

Hopefully this will help with rescheduling and determining what games and events are at which location.  Thanks to Chad from the Mid-Ohio Baseball Association for the suggestion!  If you have questions, suggestions, or comments about Atomic Leagues, we would love to hear them! Leagues and Organizations – control which schedule an event displays on

Previously for leagues and organizations you could specify which team an event was for but you couldn’t control if the event would display on the master schedule, the team’s schedule, or both.  Now you can.

For any event for a league or organization you have a few new options.

event_show_options

You can specify whether the event appears on the master schedule, the team schedule, or both.  If you check organization/league schedule the event will display on the master schedule.  If you check team schedule the event will display on team schedules.

For organizations, in addition to specifying which schedule the event will appear on you can now also create “league-wide” events where the event will display on all of the teams that are in a league.

event_show_league

In the example above, the event will display on the team schedule for all teams in the CMCBL league.

Thanks to Pete from the Sartell Baseball Association for the suggestion!  If you have questions, suggestions, or comments about Atomic Leagues, we would love to hear them! Please post a comment below or let us know through the support form.

Online Registration Forms now Always Editable

You can now edit any online registration forms, even after you have had people register.

online_registration_edit

Previously, once someone registered for a form it was no longer editable to prevent the integrity of the registered data.  But now you can modify and delete questions after they have been answered.  You can also modify and delete drop-down, radio button, and check box answers after they have been answered.

Haven’t tried online registrations?  They are a great way to get players for your team, league, or organization signed up.  And, as always, if you are accepting online registration payments then your website is free!

If you would like to know about online registrations, we would love to hear from you!  Please post a comment below or let us know through the support form.  We are more than happy to help anyone set up an online registration at no charge.

Amazing Split Stats now Everywhere

We are very excited to announce that split stats are now available from most statistical pages on your website!

No longer are split stats relegated to the splits page of each player, you can now split your data any way you like.  Want to see your best hitter on Tuesdays in July?  Or who has the most strikeouts in home night games?  How about the highest batting average while hitting eighth against your biggest rival?  All of that and more is available to split and share.

Split stat filtering is available on the following pages:

  • Batting
  • Pitching
  • Fielding
  • Player Career
  • Player Game Log
  • Individual Batting Record Book
  • Individual Pitching Record Book
  • Individual Fielding Record Book
  • Team Batting Record Book
  • Team Pitching Record Book
  • Team Fielding Record Book

You can create splits by:

  • Home/Away
  • Opponent
  • Day/Night
  • Month
  • Day of Week
  • Location
  • Opponent
  • Starter/Substitution
  • Tournament/Non-Tournament

Okay, but how does it work?  It’s easy, just select the category you want to split your stats by.

split_category

Then select the split.

split_filter

Click the Filter button.

And your stats are split!

You can combine as many different filters as you would like get really interesting stats.

Stat Legend now available on every Stats page

Just a quick update to let everyone know that a legend for statistical abbreviations is now available on every stats page when you hover your cursor over the abbreviation.

It even works for your custom stats as well!  Thanks to Jody from Palmetto Power 01 for the suggestion, hopefully this makes it easier for your website visitors to find out what the different abbreviations mean.

Option to not display Online Registrations on the Schedule

For a lot of online registrations it makes sense to display them on your schedule along with all of your other events.  You want your golf fundraiser, bowling night, etc. there.

However, for online registration only events, it has never made sense for them to be listed on the schedule.  Your online registration period may have a start and end date but it doesn’t actually need to be listed on the schedule as an event.

Now you can have it both ways.  For online registration only events you don’t have to display them on your schedule.  Online registration for physical events that have an event date can still be listed on the schedule.

Specifying whether to display an online registration on the schedule or not is easy, just check the Don’t display the online registration on the schedule and it won’t display.  Don’t check the box and it will.

hide_online_registration

Online registrations that don’t display on the schedule will still display on your online registrations page as well as in the current online registrations widget.

Hopefully this is something teams, leagues, and organizations will find useful.  If you have questions, suggestions, or comments about Atomic Leagues, we would love to hear them! Please post a comment below or let us know through the support form.

Hide Custom Player Attributes

In the coming months you will begin to see a lot of improvements to player pages, but here is a small change to kick things off.  Now when adding a custom attribute to a player you can choose whether you want it to the display on your website.

This might be useful if you are using attributes to track player information that you don’t want displayed on your website such as whether they have completed their paperwork, etc.

When adding an attribute, check the Hide on Website? box to make it private:

hide_attribute_check

The attribute will now be marked as hidden when you are editing player information:

hide_attribute_indicator

It will still display on the player list in the admin:

hide_attribute_player_list

However, it won’t display on the player list on your website:

hide_attribute_public_list

Or in player profiles:

hide_attribute_public_profile

Hopefully this is something teams, leagues, and organizations will find useful.  Thanks to Mark from the Field Falcons Baseball team (and take a look at the awesome site he created) for suggesting this!  If you have questions, suggestions, or comments about Atomic Leagues, we would love to hear them! Please post a comment below or let us know through the support form.

Better Schedule Page

Based on feedback from some of our leagues, we have changed the schedule page within the admin in a few different ways to make it even easier to use.

The first is that for teams, leagues, and organizations, past events are now hidden by default.  No more scrolling through lots of old results to get to the game you want to score.

schedule_no_past

You can easily view past events by checking the box to show past events if you do need to view a game or event that has already taken place.

schedule_past

For leagues and organizations you can now also filter the schedule by team to reduce the number of events on the page.  Just select the team you want to filter the schedule by and you will only see events and games for that team.

schedule_team_filter

Hopefully this helps make it easier for you to maintain your schedule.  If you have questions or comments we would love to hear them!  Please post a comment below or let us know through the support form.
